The Modern Age is a San Francisco Bay Area cover band delivering high-energy indie rock, alternative, and synth-pop from the late ’80s through the early 2000s, performed with the punch, polish, and dynamics of an original act. Built around experienced musicianship (including professional touring and studio engineering backgrounds), we focus on tight arrangements, great sound, and a set that keeps crowds engaged from the first chorus to the last encore.

We’ve played across the Bay Area, including San Francisco and Oakland, and we travel (most recently bringing the show to Kona, Hawaiʻi).

What began as musicians playing favorites, from The Cure to The Killers, has grown into a focused live act committed to filling the room.
